Lily Hayman
Lily Hayman is a writer, director and producer from Southern Sydney who grew up on the land of the Dharawal people and now resides on unceded Gadigal Land. She currently is the Young Leader and Associate Producer at Shopfront Arts Co-Op as well as one of the founders of Purple Tape Productions. A new production company dedicated to uplifting young female artists to create new Australian work. Lily holds a Bachelor of Performance (Dean’s Scholar) and a First-Class Honours in Creative Arts (Theatre) from the University of Wollongong. Recently, Lily has written and directed Fledgling (MerrigongX, KXT) and written and performed The Infinity Mirror (Shopfront ArtsLab Residency, BrandX). She also has recently performed in Tiny Universe (2021), To My Younger Self (2020) and Pretty Fly For a Dead Guy (2019) as well as currently assistant directing under Margot Politis on Milk Crate Theatre’s Dust (premiering in September) and is in development for an upcoming Harness ensemble production, Where Shall We Meet? to premiere in September. Lily is passionate about engaging Young People in the arts and providing a voice to Young People to speak loudly about the issues they are passionate about.
