Charley Sanders
Charley is a theatre director, dramaturge and producer interested in the broad range of styles, genres and expressions available to live theatre-makers and audiences. They have worked in Theatre, Musical Theatre, Physical Theatre, Dance, Opera, Cabaret and Multi Artform Work.
They work through and across a variety of performance artforms, with the central aim of creating moving, amusing and transformative experiences for audiences. Their work has a particular focus on facilitating industrially safe creatively risky workplaces for artists, in service of healing and building agency.
Charley is currently Programs Producer for The Sydney Fringe, where they manage a broad palate of performance, development and inclusion programs. They are Co-Artistic Director, with choreographer (and sibling) Eliza Sanders, of independent contemporary performance company House of Sand.
Charley has also worked as as a teacher of acting, directing & theatre studies.
